Tiered License Breakdown

CG Market offers four distinct license tiers. These tiers are designed to scale with the commercial risk and revenue of the Buyer, ensuring fair compensation for Sellers and robust protection for Enterprise users.

Personal License (1x - Non-Commercial)

• Scope: Educational, student work, and hobbyist exploration.
• Seats: 1 User only.
• Commercial Rights: Strictly forbidden. No monetization (including ad revenue on personal streams).
• Indemnification: $0. Use at your own risk.

Indie License (3x - Standard Commercial)

• Scope: Freelance work, small indie games, and local marketing.
• Eligibility: Revenue/Budget under $100,000 CAD per annum.
• Seats: Up to 5 users within the same organization.
• Indemnification: Up to $10,000 against copyright/trademark claims.
• Assignability: Non-transferable. The freelancer owns the license, not the client.

Studio License (5x - Enterprise Commercial)

• Scope: Major motion pictures, AA/AAA games, and global advertising.
• Eligibility: Unlimited Revenue.
• Seats: Unlimited users within the purchasing organization.
• Assignable Rights: Permitted to transfer usage rights to a single end-client.
• Indemnification: Up to $250,000 for high-level legal protection.

Extended License (10x - Distribution & Manufacturing)

• Scope: Physical goods, software templates, and 3D printing for resale.
• Physical Production: Permitted for production over 500 physical units.
• Redistribution: Allowed in 'compiled' templates or website builders.
• Waiver of Injunctive Relief: CG Market waives the right to seek a court order to stop distribution of the larger work.
• Indemnification: Unlimited (Full Protection).
